How to get started
Our server IP is: minecraft.pipe3.net
You can join straight away and say hi! You will initially show as [Unregistered].
How do I build?
You need to register to build, but registering is free, easy, fast and automatic - simply click the Sign Up Now button on the home page or the Sign Up link at the top of the page. After 60 seconds of registering, you will receive a message in-game telling you that your membership has been activated, and then you're good to go!
Some basic commands:
/pvp - Toggle PvP On or Off. This defaults to On each time you log in.
/tpahere - Invite a player to come to your location.
/msg steve - Start a private conversation with a player called steve.
/msg - Leave a private conversation.
/lobby - Go to the portal lobby. There is a cool-down period between uses and you have to stand still for a while without being hurt before you are teleported.
/home - Go home. There is a cool-down period between uses and you have to stand still for a while without being hurt before you are teleported.
/ticket new Help me! - Request support with the message 'Help me!'. Change this to what you are actually asking for help with.
/cprivate - Lock a chest or a door so only you can use it.
/cpublic - Stop a chest or a door from being locked by anyone else.
Most of all we want you to have a great time when using our service, so we will help you where we can to fit in and provide you with an excellent and reliable server. All we expect of you in return is that you behave responsibly and maturely whilst playing.
So that you know what to expect when using Pipe3 and what is and isn't acceptable on our network, we have written this Code of Conduct to help you.
Our moderators and administrators are told to only intervene in serious situations, or when one of our players asks us to. We trust our members to try to resolve any issues between themselves first.
You should
Have fun and make new friends.
Respect other users' opinions and beliefs.
Keep your personal details secret, and not ask for anyone else's.
Behave responsibly in chat and try to avoid inappropriate language or topics.
Never bully, harass or abuse other players; in particular never make threats or use violent or agressive behaviour.
Not destroy or remove blocks from something you didn't make, unless the owner of it tells you it is OK.
Not take any items from chests that are not yours, unless the owner of it tells you it is OK.
Not use any modifications to your client, texture packs or otherwise which would allow you to cheat.
If we think you are doing something which isn't in the spirit of our Code of Conduct, first of all we'll politely let you know and point you back to this...
Do you use Google Chrome?
If you are a Chrome user, why not pin our applications to your task bar! The on-line map, IRC, Forums etc. will run as if they are separate programs. The address bar will be hidden and you can easily click between them.
Step 1 - Open each of the following in separate tabs: http://minecraft.pipe3.net/map http://pipe3.net http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=pipe3gaming&uio=MTE9MjM20f
Step 2 - For each of the tabs, follow the instructions under the second heading here.
Step 3 - When asked, select to pin the icon to your task bar.
Higher resolution icons
If you want a higher resolution icon, I have attached some to this post which you may find useful. To set the icon, right click on your new shortcut, right click again on the name of the application in the list which pops up, select Properties. Click the Shotcut tab and then Change Icon. Set your new icon, then click the General tab and check Read Only (to stop Chrome reverting to the old icon). Press OK.
